Just like any industry there are bad apples and shady characters, unfortunately the fact that the barrier to entry for wholesaling is so low (anyone can wake up one day and decide they are a wholesaler) means its easier for shady characters to jump in and.... well.... be shady.

For me, I was hooked when I watched my first position (Apple) turn positive; however I always had one issue with investing in stocks as a profession: I did not feel I was adding any value to the community around me.

So when shopping understand this is how you shop for insurance and then try to get an apples to apple comparison or at the very least make your agent work to explain any "liabilities or what is not covered" on the policy if they can't rattle it off easily then they are not fimular with the product they are selling and really should not be selling it. 

I don’t yet have a GC for this reno and am under the impression the best way to bid it out is to share drawings so that people are bidding apples to apples.
