I purchased my new build a year ago.

Should I invest in my own property, saving money on land costs, or purchase another property else where?

It's a single family home in Waco Texas, purchased with $40,000 - 25% down with an interest rate at 7.25%.  

After purchasing it, we put it into an LLC, including putting the deed in the LLC. 

Or anything else to consider when purchasing homes built that old?

@Anthony PerezRecommend you first figure out the property Class you want to invest in, THEN figure out the corresponding location to invest in.If you apply Class A assumptions to a Class B or C purchase, your expectations won’t be met and it may be a financial disaster.So, when investing in areas they don’t really know, investors should research the different property Class submarkets.

Why do you think purchase contracts are so long and have such small print?

Details of my situation below...My wife & I are currently in the middle of  a 1031 Exchange where we're selling a condo in Boston and using the funds to purchase a triplex in Worcester.

I'm about to purchase a property for a short term rental and trying to figure out whether to hold the property in a newly formed LLC, trust or in my personal name.
