@Mike Cumbie, this is Florida in 2018.There are 60 million baby boomers retiring and they ain't looking to move to your state for the cool winters!

It would have been a great idea before there was a baby involved. $1,700 does seem to be an upper limit according to the resources you listed.

The goal is to have rentals for active income but baby steps, right?

I guess the reason I'm writing this is to finally get into talking with this amazing community, I believe this will be a baby step on my dream of making a name of myself.I really want to get into apartment complexes because I want to physically create something that a large group of people can enjoy together (just like a family).

I have big concerns also about injuring any animals with the traps or inadvertedly leaving babies behind.
