I'm not an attorney, but have asked this very question to several attorneys...In Maryland (and I'm guessing most/all other states), you can't wash your hands of a workers comp claim by having a contractor sign a hold harmless or any other form of indemnification agreement.So, if you think you're covering yourself, you may want to consult an attorney to ensure he agrees with you.
