You think the lumber is punishing apartment building builders?

The bad guys starved their own people to death to punish them when they weren't exterminating them in death camps and systematically gang-raped women before putting them to death through torture or burying them alive.

If you don't occupy then that would be considered mortgage fraud and punishable by up to $1 million fine and 30 years in the nearest federal pen.

I don't see how the Feds can take sides and punish owners while letting renters move on after a free ride this long.

In the meantime..these bookings.. from Finland, California, Alabama, Michigan.. from all over.. were not warned under such a short notice of this cancellation.. over the 4th of JULY holidays..They have their plane tickets etc.. and Airbnb punishes them!!!??? 

The punishment for nonpayment is eviction.My tenants and I both sign the lease.

Definitely don't want to punish people who are cancelling more than a month out, but anything in between is going to cut into your bottom line.

It's punishable with some big fines and even imprisonment. 

This is a potentially frightening trend that you don't want to think about too much or you will sell your rental properties and move to where laws are enforced and law breakers are punished.

So obviously, fixing and flipping it out for me (unless my spouse has some interior decorating skill I have yet to see in 20+ years), and being a landlord is in the same category of punishment as a root canal.
