Partner and I bought our first STR in Western NC.

They’re requesting what feels like an unreasonable amount of information, and the demands keep escalating.So far, they’ve asked for:A video tour of my home officeCredit checks on me and my partnerCopies of the deeds for every property we ownA copy of my partner’s home lease and utility billsBusiness phone billsA signed letter from the bank verifying our accountsBank statementsHonestly, it feels more like qualifying for a loan than trying to become a customer.

I have seen great properties coming out with a great rental rate, but you would know those move quickly so being partner with someone local in DFW is always a good idea.

I am simply hoping to prevent folks on BP from having their time wasted.Three weeks ago, I heard a podcast about Kevin Bupp's Mobile Home Park Fund, by Sunrise Capital Partners.

I currently have SFH and multi-family long term rentals and I partnered on a short-term rental.

I think it might be wise to get a partner for your first deal. 

For background, I'm partnered with an architect and interior designer, but I'd have to find most of the subs as I don't have any formal connections (at least in the area I'd like to build).

Know your market (or partner with someone who does) AND do research, research, and some more research.

How long for your spouse or partner?  

My desire remains the same as it did when I joined, to try and build something with a partner that I can trust to improve the lives of my loved ones.
