You will get a lot of reps in, build experience and local knowledge and capital and everything else will fall into place a lot easier if you are able to consistently find good deals.

If you have an agent that is trying to enfore their rep- thats a great way to know that you have a terrible, desperate agent.

We mostly do tenant rep, and focus our searches around grocery anchored centered with market demographics that meet out requirements. 

I just started a Full commission sales job and I have been wanting to be considered a REP.

Hi Dan, I am a real estate newbie, but I can parallel the question to my owner's rep day job. 

I’ve definitely been getting my reps in with running numbers and learning how to do deal analysis at this stage.

The sales rep put together a quote for us, which we put in our back pockets for later.

Put out signs and lockboxes for realtors.Cold call for a realtor or investor.Create a handyman or property preservation business.Become a notary, so you can close real estate transactions.Go to work for a courthouse data service, so you're looking at and recording the posted data for them.Work for an apartment complex leasing apartments or doing maintenance.Work for a property manager doing make ready.Do anything and everything in construction.Become a home inspector willing to work weekends.Work as a sales rep or helper for a builder.Probably all these positions could use someone that wants to work nights and weekends.   

Given our financial constraints at the time, we couldn't afford such a high sum for limited coverage.I'm told that the lapse in coverage for the few months between being dropped by our previous insurer and attempting to get a landlord/investment property policy will make if VERY difficult to get a policy.I'm not sure that my agent really has much experience in insuring investment properties/rental properties.I reached out to Arcana (now MSI, and they forwarded my a list of agents/reps that could work with me.My question is: Are there any other places I should be looking to obtain coverage?
