On the one hand, you have the market for properties with a Western-style level of luxury in which properties generally trade in US dollars and the main buyers are wealthy Mexican and foreigners.

I used to live in western WA from the bottom to the top. 

He still doesn't understand apparently how this money can be received and is jumping up and down about us not paying him and told me he's not going to accept payment by "Western Union"!  

Wanted us to transfer money via Western Union, we said, uh no.  

And even if they do get some militant activist to confront you, you can always just come right back at them with the rules. 

I respect that your experience has been different, but I don't know that what works in western North Carolina would work very well in Oakland, and it's not very often that we get the type of perspective from Oakland, at least with what I could see looking around.

Or be willing to move in it.I'm just thinking you would at minimum get a better price, and maybe even have a bidding war, if the weather is great, and the flowers are in bloom.For what it's worth, I lived in western WA from the bottom to the top, a total of 18 years.
