Trying to Return Security Deposit, but Tenant Can't be Found

Hey Everyone,

Just had a tenant move out of my property.  Everything looks good and will be returning the full security deposit.

Unfortunately, the address they gave me was returned and undelivered.  The tenant isn't responding to emails or calls either trying to clear this up.

How long do I have to continue trying before giving up?  The property is in the east bay area, California.

-Brandon

@Brandon Duncan send it to their last known address (your rental). If they have mail forwarding with USPS on, then it will get to them.  If not, then at least you've made an attempt. Keep the returned mail unopened as proof you attempted to send it.
