I would argue that syndication is the way to scale a multifamily business/portfolio.

Something about it being in the Midwest comes to mind.Some will argue that you want a clause in the option contract stating what happens if there is a default.

With being a new investor and all for the buy and hold long term strategy it definitely would give me sense of comfort having this level of cash flow from one home while using leverage on multiple others and facing a potential downturn.Can't argue with a $12k investment netting $250 per month risk-free, hassle-free and tax-free.

So it can be argued they abandoned the listing and are not due a commission.

If it is your could argue that they cannot discriminate against you and sell to a group that is funded by donations. 

I'm not a lawyer or CPA, but they would likely argue yes.
