I prefer n st Pete or other towns near Tampa with better neighborhoods it’s less cash flow but tenants tend be much better and they pay auto deposit and my appreciation has been better.

for code replacement, the village may require you to update certain things as part of the rehab if you were to have to tear out drywall (which is pretty typical with a bunch of smoke).

@Edgar Rosas the type and cost of the policy will depend if you will be living in the property and if you current home and auto company can provide some discounts to add this property to your insurance program.I suggest you call your current agent and get some hard #'s on paper.
