Not only the AC unit, but they broke in through a sliding glass window, went upstairs, and took the furnace as well ....Really quite sad ....

I agree, but the sad part is that by delaying the purchase o their first home, they miss out on a lot of years building wealth.

Being that you're experienced, I'm sure you do a great job, but it's sad that others fail to produce.

vikram, i think all rehabbers/investors probably have some level of OCD...but yes, i should've been more clear...lol...i don't like roaches either for the record...this tenant keeps his place spotless, which i love, and maybe comes across as OCD only in comparison to other tenants..he made us take off our shoes when we walked across the laminate floor in his kitchen to do a repair...not many tenants are that clean and so i definitely want to keep him..sadly, roaches are somewhat a result of a lower income apartment building

I'm in the NYC area and Pre-foreclosures are everywhere.. quite sad actually.It Makes perfect sense to go into it trying to keep people in their homes...This would mean fully educating yourself in the area of pre-foreclosures  and the options available to them because most people are not aware of the little things they can do to protect themselves..

It just brings out the unqualified with sad stories.  

Sadly, these services appear aimed at younger people, telling them don't save for the future, instead spend that money on take-out, Netflix, and Starbucks.I'd be much more willing to use a service like this if I could set a higher than security deposit limit.

At times I get so excited about  possible property ownership that when the redemption comes I am sad even though I've just made money. :)  Then there are times when I have acquired the property and I know I can do more with a possible fix and flip or a cash flow from renting.  

@Duke Marquiss sadly a few years ago i didn't think so smartly and fell into the trap. while I didn't spend some crazy 30k amount it was well more than what the information was really worth.
