Actually in Dan's scenerio since the deeded the property to him, even though it would be a clouded deed, he is the property owner and has full rights to all information about the property.This is best accomplished by doing a title search which will give you the name of the leinholder.

It depends how it was written.as to securing your position, file a notice of option on the property to cloud title and it won't be sold until you release it.

Even the best general-purpose guys I know tend to shy away from doing diagnostic work... there's a whole host of tools that are used for things like finding open circuits, they aren't cheap, and they are worth having.

If you were offering them worker's comp, then you might have to also do tax withholding and a host of other things in the employer/employee relationship.
