Yes, the vinyl plank (TrafficMaster grip strip planks) over carpet does sink a bit (like carpet, but it bounces up), so it's unexpected, but not unpleasant. 

I am self employed and still haven't bounced back from the recession yet. 

Obviously nobody can tell me what to do that is something I have to figure out myself but what I am looking for is advice on how to figure that out or to hear how others deal with deciding on what direction to take.I bounce around with a couple of ideas:1.

It might be a good place to go to soak up info and bounce ideas around.  

I was mainly just looking for referrals from her and the opportunity to bounce some ideas off someone, but because we are both new to investing it feels a little like the blind leading the blind. 

Do not hesitate, to post questions and bounce ideas around in applicable forums.
