I spent most of my adult life deployed, living out of a bag in third world sh@tholes.

It's just a shame that grown adults will spend a considerable amount of money to rent a well kept home, and then revert to adolescent behavior while staying.

I'm not going to say anything different then what has already been said but I thought I'd share my current experience with you.I've spent all the adult years of my life working my *** off and saving money.  

Full disclosure - I worked for a local credit union for several years and my focus was financial literacy for children and young adults. 

We currently do not have an oversupply in housing, affordability rates in most metros are solid for buyers, debt to income is decent among adults over 30, interest rates are low, etc.  

Then you can pursue other options.Of note, my father who is my primary mentor and been in the real estate business all of his adult life, always recommended to me to cut your loses and move on.

Public records show that the new adult is already using my property as their mailing address.

I've made small and large gestures to friends and family all of my adult life, before I had money like I do now, and I continue to do so.

@Chris Reyes to make sure my children have better options when they become adults than I did.

It would be fine if it were just us two adults - and they appeal to couples.
