Sometimes windows and the exterior design can negatively affect the kitchen layout, as windows can be placed lower than the countertop level.The idea is to shift towards engineering within a couple of years to work with real estate construction or development. 

No granite countertops or jacuzzi tubs!!.

The basement has a small countertop of both sides of the basement and small cabinet space. 

Look at houses, pay attention to the type of cabinets, flooring, countertops, and other finsih work.

I could care less about having a McMansion with granite countertops and stainless appliances.

Wait until you have broken granite countertops, holes in every wall and door, or 3 inches of water through tout the house. 

So everything in the house was new from windows, to curtains, curtain rods, appliances (a couple we never used) granite countertops, custom kitchen cabinets (beech wood - very hard wood)  fancy backsplash, doors, HIGH END custom trim, flooring the 33 cubic yards of concrete for patio/driveway etc.  

New cabinets and countertops in the kitchen, flooring throughout, paint, and some other small items.Looking for economical but durable material.
