I think the best analogy is to treat them like employees and here is why: you treat good employees well, they are very valuable to your business.

The 734 “votes” (relative to 660 posts) tell me that you, on average do a great job posting valuable information to users on these forums, and on a regular basis. 

Any land that is worth $50k an acre is way to valuable to donate.

I'm open to accepting lower pay in return for valuable learning experiences.

I know there are some people out there who do this and put an assignment in place to be recorded if the loan defaults.As with so many things in REI, there are multiple ways to skin the cat, and it has a lot to do with your level of risk and your partial investor's level of risk.I do teach a 4 hour live class on this.
