If you’re serious about buying properties and doing real estate, then I would suggest working with the CPA that understands real estate even if the services cost more than your average H&R Block or some TurboTax program you can buy.

Not sure if the upstairs tenant (heavyset person with a dog) plays a role.Seeking suggestions.

Taxes is not my area of expertise so I suggest readers consult with their own tax advisor on this subject. 

It wasn’t on the lease, and it was starting to rot, posing a safety hazard.We knew tearing it down would cause an uproar, so instead, I suggested something a bit unconventional.

I’ll obviously contact a local attorney but any advice or suggestions would be helpful.
