As per several blogs I had noticed people complain about how the appraised value was lower than the asking price.

On the personal side, I grew up around construction and fulfilled a dream of building my own home with my dad's help (he's a GC in Hampton) which taught me a lot about perseverance and hard work as the project took 3 1/2 years to complete.

I applaud your perseverance, realizing and tackling our fears is NOT easy.

I was fortunate to have a mother and father who constantly told me, directly and indirectly in thousands of ways, that I could do anything I set my sights on and could achieve any goal at all with hard work and perseverance.  

There are still some deals to be had with either luck or perseverance.
