I've seen landlords want to charge for a repaint or to charge per hole in the wall for nail holes when each nail hole might cost $.01 to spackle and paint.

Mine charges me random amounts - could be $50 to assemble a piece of furniture (reasonable) but then $30 to hang a picture (1 nail!).
