Cigarette smoke is a big deal to some people.

To me, I think you'd be better off having a strong lease that prohibits the smoking of ANY substance (e.g. cigarettes, marijuana, crack, peace pipes, whatever) in the property and/or the growing of marijuana if you're concerned about that too (since that can also cause damage to a property).

The lease says it's a non smoking unit and not only is cigarette smoke incredibly offensive to some and some people are highly sensitive to it, it does real, lasting damage to your property.

Hi all, I rented my house to a tenant and when I checked her social media, in some of her posts she chainsmoked cigarettes inside the house.At first she was smoking in balcony. 

The house smells so strongly of cigarettes that I still smell like an ash tray after spending less than 30 minutes inside.
