Has anyone here successfully house hacked in the same city to avoid changing schools for their children?

I am located in KS, I'd prefer not to rent out rooms as I have children so I'm leaning more towards multifamily.

We also have children so wanted to make sure the house hacks we lived in were in safe areas with good schools.
