We ended up getting a hardmoney loan on a duplex in Minneapolis (while we lived in San Diego) in a up and coming neighborhood, we lightly rehabbed when we went out there and left as soon as it got too cold for my blood.  

I understand it doesn't compare to midwest cities however COC return, in my opinion, keeps the blood flow of real estate investing. 

But it is blood money, the older I get the less I will be able to do what I do.

Plus I'm not some blood sucking landlord portraying the stereotype of said bloodsuckers.

The property has been vacant for nearly 5 weeks, so I`m guessing thefleas are probably hungry enough to jump on and bite the first warm-blooded life-form that walks into the place.

It may make you feel good, but good luck collecting blood from a turnip.

I have had to call the police on them for noise, fighting in the shared driveway, etc over the years and we have some bad blood...I want to make sure if I did buy the property that it's a solid investment, not satisfying a vendetta.
