For example, Craigslist, business cards, flyers, etc.If you have a website you can also do pay per click advertising like Google Adwords to capture some of the people searching online in your area.

--- In the other side of the coin, let say he is really good at his job, he can get adwords and pay per click ads running, gets you on the top 1 when you search a simple phrase like "SFH for sale in Maryland" (in short, a very broad choice and you top it, say in my case if I search "Construction Company in California" I am #1), how would you determine that it was not your team who created the lead?

I want to start marketing myself to help find properties for wholesaling and since I'm starting out I don't want to spend money on things that probably won't help.Should I work more on the online side(BP, Website, SEO, adwords, content marketing) or more print/offline marketing(bandit signs, yellow cards, newsletter, etc)Of course I would like to do both down the road but starting out what gives you more bang for your buck?

You can get a landing page service for $50 a month and run an AdWords account with as little as $10 per day budget ($350 month total for the 2 things) and get some leads the smart way from people who are actually motivated and looking for your solution.If you can't start with something like that, you're just not quite ready to get started.
