Look for markets that have growing populations, growing jobs, modern, diverse economies etc.

Shop at thrift stores for furniture and décor that you can update and modernize for cheaper than if you were to purchase modern décor from a top retail store.

I am buy and hold; however, during the rehab period I use 'vacant property' coverage from American Modern.

The house has a modern carpet upstairs, a hardwood entry, laminate downstairs, except in the kitchen which has tile - and my kitchen and bathrooms are original 80's. 

While there may be a small element of truth in those statements, the truth is that nothing we are experiencing now and likely are to face over the next 6-18 months or longer are actual uncertain or unique if you look at the history of the modern world.

American Modern usually does these for me.

Yeah I guess I can look at it as it was "wrapped" for us, but sorry to tell you Steve, but I def plan on changing the colors on the outside... it needs an updated/modern touch lol 

I´ḿ sure there are people with mansions in Potomac or Chevy Chase that would never live in my home no matter how modern or nice it is. i happen to love it just like many of my tenants love and appreciate what I provide.

I had this pre conceived notion that Jerusalem  Was going to look like one of the hill towns in Italy surrounded by a big wall and such.. so to my surprise when in fact its a big modern city that surrounds the old city.. still very cool..
