It's easier for landlords who own a lot of units or an apartment complex to bear the burden of non-paying tenants.Look for areas with population growth and population changes.

I have a partner who will be assisting with my mortgage payments, so I'm hesitant on whether I should house hack, build a second unit on the property, or just live in it until I have enough equity to do a refinance. 

They are probably including the roof in the price of the solar panels, and they make it enticing by offering installment plans.

Entering an address for a multi unit, are the results that come back for total rent on both units, or per individual unit?
