I was just wondering if anyone could give me any insight on the area and if it would be a good location to house hack.

You can try free sites like Spokeo as a shot in the dark, but it's not too hard to find the owner's information if you are good on the internet.

Like all Midwest markets the houses are 60-120 years old, if you buy in "cash flow" neighborhoods - because they look good on your spreadsheet - you'll find out that capex will exceed cash flow over time.

@Jaysin Anderson I would also suggest you reach out to @Ricardo Matos; he is an educator, investor, and friend of mine here in Portugal who will have some good insight regarding BRRR here. 

In your assessment, is the carpet in good condition? 

@Rick Baggenstoss Yes, i have seem some quality property bid up almost to retail. and it is always the same 5-6 bidders that you see dominating the winning bid.

Actually the comps say $600k but I don't think I could get that as it will need a new roof soon and there is asbestos siding that is still in good shape, but it is still a liability) I am still in the home until my youngest graduates in three years, but she is the only one left and when she is not with me (50% of the time) I am at what will be our forever home in NH.
