I have committed to closing a deal no later than July 4th of this year and would like to connect with and bounce some ideas with fellow Houstonians who are in the market and investing in small or large multifamily properties before closing on one of the properties I have been considering.

@Tracey Robinson Tracey, my only comment is that I don't think tourism is going to bounce back in the Coachella Valley/Palm Springs area as much as we'd all like it to.

Do not hesitate, to post questions and bounce ideas around in applicable forums.

Since I am new to this I would love to find some local players to bounce ideas off of or even partner with on my first few deals.

I'm interested in local events, connecting and networking with other local investors, and bouncing ideas off each other and helping where I can.

You probably should bounce this off a real estate attorney, but mortgages change hands all the time and I doubt you have to be a broker to assign an interest in this one.Let us know what you learn.

Also, we should put together a BP chapter or Think Tank bounce ideas off each other.

I think it is better to invest in a larger markets where you have the ability to bounce around the suburbs and what not. 

It seems to me starting small and trading up will take a lot longer than saving up for one big deal.I apologize for the long post but these questions have been bouncing around my head for weeks and I was hoping posting on here would give me some advice or guidance on how to proceed.
