I would like to get insights on how active are out of state investors involved in managing large apartment buildings to give me an idea if I should get involved with this larger asset. 

Have you been involved in a partnership and if so how did it go? 

In my case, I don't use an LLC for my real estate holdings. but use an LLC for an active business, an S Corp. with a DBA for 2 different businesses, and a C Corp, since closed, for real estate management.In my view, closing one and opening another would involve paperwork and fees, but keep your accounting much cleaner, as you probably agree.

I'm not interested in discussing "liability protections" offered by LLCs, this is related to attorney involvement. 

After a few hours I decided that the USDA Aggricultural loan would be our best bet.

I contacted an attorney and he will create the power of attorney forms for a $1,000 retainer as well as $250 per hour for the legal work involved.

Sounds like you’re already heavily involved in RE just in a different aspect.

Never been there AH  you will no doubt love it or at least your wife will I bet... go by  7  New st.. the horse carriages go by there That's one of my new builds if the contractor is there his name Is Troy and tell him your a friend of mine and he will show you through..Also if you google  8 Woodal  go check that little street out I built all three of the new builds there .. and they are pretty cool but it gives you the idea of how things were 200 years ago with these tiny tiny streets and then you can appreciate how difficult these builds are with no room to move..
