The person being taken off the lease is not wanting to live there anymore and by law can terminate early in Indiana due to protective order being filed against roommate/girlfriend.   

I used to service our notes personally but, with the SAFE act and the fact that servicing is a BIG pain in the butt anyhow, I am glad to shift this work out to others so that I can go out and do things that actually make me money!

Check the in person events and meetups in your local area, our online community is full of knowledge and folks willing to share and still nothing replaces the opportunity to interact IRL, you never know who you will meet and where that can take you on your REI journey. 

Could I be stunting my growth as a person by not changing my environment and forcing myself to adapt?

Hey Alex, I personally invest in the Columbus market and have been doing it for the past couple years.

For a newbie like myself, it would be better for an in-person walk-through since I'm so novice I would have a hard time coordinating a video conference, questions I have/writing responses, etc., that it might be overwhelming.

"LUCK" if we are talking about a lower economic person all things being equal they come from the same tenant pool.

It's too awkward for us to yell at the person buying our house.
