I was at a legal 2 flat yesterday and the listing broker said it is about a $4k job to split the panel for a 3rd unit.

I believe all the wiring is separated already as there are separate panels, but would need to check.

We have decided to move forward with another home, we have been waiting on the bank to clear up some issues on their end with the electrical, currently there's no meter and the power company will not turn it on until repairs are made including a new panel.  

To speed along the process you might open your electric panel when you see a light on in the warehouse and start tripping breakers until you see the lights go off.

Our current job is a complete gut, and the only permit we might have to get is for the new front porch - if they consider that a change to the "footprint".Now, we will be working closely with the electric department because we are changing from overhead to underground and getting a new meter and service panel.
