Yellow Letter Copy

Hello Y'all

I am beginning to use a long copy Yellow Letter and thought I would share...

As a guy who has mailed out hundreds of thousands of these frigging letters and who also owns Yellow-Letter.com I know that this letter is not constructed to the most optimum criteria.

However I have increased my market to 58000 houses which meant that I needed to decrease a facet of my mail in order to increase the count. So I went with a very generic letter so that I could facilitate the increase in mail.

I also went to a font on both the envelope and letter. Here is the font I am using for this letter. BTW to upload a font onto your computer just go to control panel, then to appearance and theme's then click on font and drag across. http://www.michaelquarles.com/cheyenne.ttf

The envelope is an invitation 4 3/8 x 5/5/8 ivory which I buy from http://www.paperplus.com

The paper is actually 20 pound canary stock printed with the blue and red lines when printing the text. Here is a link to the Microsoft Office Publisher file. http://www.michaelquarles.com/Long_mary_Letter_with_lines.pub

The stamp is a Bulk Mail Pre-Canceled wet stamp which cost .213 to mail in my area or outside of area. the cost of the bulk mail permit is 180 one time and then 180 each year.. so after a few letters it pays to use. Now recently the USPS changed their requirements of how to address and envelope which means now you have to either request a forwarded address, say or current resident or have your list "washed" through the NCOA Link. So on a Yellow Letter I chose to wash the list and use https://www.maillistcleaner.com which costs 50 bucks. BTW here is the new Bulk Mail form as a fill in form. http://www.michaelquarles.com/ps3602ez.pdf

The USPS requires a return address on the letter so I use a label to meet that requirement and also seal the envelope. To the left of my return address I print a seasonal art picture.

As for addresses; Since I market to Free and Clears and Nods I have found http://www.listsource.com to be the best supplier of that info. On line their price per address is .18 however if you contact them directly you will probably do better. They have asked me not to say how much.. But it is better than the discounts we try to buy houses at.

Hope this helps.. BTW the in the mail cost per piece is under .35 cents.

Have you heard of a hand written yellow letter campaign for commercial property? Would it be a similar message? What are your thoughts?
