@Luis Ramirez First thing I'll say is that the TV shows about house flipping are good for entertainment, but nothing beyond that! 

@Reed A.I'm not an agent, but I play one on TV. . . . or maybe not.I have worked with lots of agents all over Utah, and a few in So Cal and Hawaii.

Carlton Sheets was prominent on tv in the late 80's and early 90's and I used to enjoy watching that informercial!  

The worst case scenario is you spend your time learning about real estate instead of watching TV, which is how I imagine most people get started while working a job.

I also did an admin program, and web design, via the Art Institute of Pittsburgh - Online...let's just say that I'm firmly against "for profit schools," both my experience, and others I talked to...and that's all I'll say on this, since this isn't the place for that.What I was working on, was part of a team, that would put together a tv series on the local CW, focusing on local bands, businesses, artists, etc.

Quasi - "Celebs" have had their names made on TV shows, then they go off selling crap via seminars.

The shows we watch on TV are far from the truth and nothing about today flipping is romatic or as profitable unless you get lucky.  

Are you referring to rehabbing a house to sell for profit like you see on TV?

If you are a part-timer like me who visits the site only 2 or 3 days a week, things move much slower than if you are there every day.I always shake my head when I watch these flip shows on tv where they push, push, push and act panicked if it takes a few extra days, cause that is not my style at all.But if you don't do that, you can find these things dragging out much longer.
