(shared walkways or driveways, ect.)If you are using a PM company to manage them, add the above-mentioned questions to your "interview" list. 

My municipality requires that walkways and sideways be clear within 24 hours or they start fining property owners. 

Here the basics that the inspector will look at:- Windows and Doors are installed and working- No major damage to floors and walls- All plumbing works, hot and cold water, no leaks, etc - Exhaust fan or window in all bathrooms- Electrical works with cover plates on all outlets/switches- A light installed in every major room, etc- Working heating system- Smoke detector on every floor- Stairs and walkways up to code

for example let's say you neighbor slips in your walkway and get a concussion or even worse goes into a comma.    

Another person tried to sue me for ice being on my walkway when the property was being showed.

If you look closely you can see that unlike most traditional "ROW HOUSES" there is a 6 foot space between each home allowing for a walk way from front to back, trash container storage, outside shower, flower beds and landscape on each side.I'm currently in an escrow transaction and close to closing on this property.

The responsibility for ADA upgrades usually follows how the lease is written and has the tenant done tenant improvements that alter the accessibility i.e. counter tops, bathroom vanities, doors, dining room walkways. 

Psychologically, the winter moves are a little tougher because there is less daylight, slippery walkways and more clothes (gloves, jackets, etc) for your moving friends to wear.
