My dream would be to buy a run down motel/hotel and fix it up and run an orphanage/foster home. 

However, I believe if you can get yourself into the proper mindset, put in the countless hours of proper education, then this becomes more of a reality (this philosophy can be applied to more than just REI dreams).Again, no two investors are alike and you've got to understand your inner investor before you decide on which advice to take.

While I am fine renting while I search for the right investment, my dream would be to build (for my own personal home).

Just a side note- Be cautious of all the “gurus” out there who will try to sell you pipe dreams on getting into REI with zero cash.
