I'd also be keen to find out peoples opinions on whether Houston has enough diversification in the job market or if it's too dependent on the oil industry and if that gets replaced/winds down in 25-60 years (a debatable point I know) would the housing market still stand up or would you get another Detroit-like scenario where the demise of the car industry destroyed house prices?

And now after all I've heard about KC - with the new Cerner center and all - I'm keenly interested in KC.

I circulated an earlier BP job posting to the rail-riders I know and none of them were keen on relocation.

At Sharon's prompting I am also looking keenly at wholesaling while I am in this early stage.

My interest is keen b/c I could use about 110k right now to procure a property outright, and it happens to be that I could probably get that out of my personal residence.
