Before finalizing a decision to sell, I thought I’d get some thoughts from the BP forumThe only obvious factor I know to try to head off a problem is to carefully screen applicants.

It is clearly possible to do well here, but as expats I believe you need to be extremely careful in entering the market.

I know you said you don’t expect anything major on the properties soon, but I would take a careful look at what is most likely to need to be replaced soon and figure out how you would pay for that if it needed to be done tomorrow.

You can also search Google and read reviews.

But at the local commercial level, you’ll have a more in depth underwriting review process  

And for lawn care/snow removal have you ever put some of that on the tenant?

We take care of the entire process—from sourcing and purchasing properties to managing renovations and the final sale or rental.

I don't personally care about checks anymore so that wasn't an important feature for me.
