@Luis Herna, I don't mean to imply that finding a property worth investing in is easy, but it is far harder to raise capital than it is to find a property to buy.  

Or you could buy a SFH in the suburbs but duplexes in the suburbs will be a fair bit more expensive.Anyway, I think Detroit is a fantastic place to build wealth now and in the coming years.

The only use case I know of for SBA-backed loans to finance real estate is when a non-RE business owner-occupies at least 51% of the property, such as an attorney firm buying the office building where their office is and leasing out the units they don't use.
