I smelled alcohol on their breath during their visit so the "I have mental health issues" could be some substance abuse.

However, because you are also living onsite you need to view it in context with apartment price points which are probably substantially lower.I'm not sure who financed the property for you, but I don't think there is any harm in asking what would be required to change the term of the loan and recast it for 30 years.

A lot of people are struggling through these mandates, and there should be relief for them, but a lot of my friends work in various professional level positions and don't need to miss rent, so I don't need to miss my mortgage payment and cause harm to the bank employees if this is pushed onto them banks.
