To add insult to injury many people move after 5-10 years so they never pay down any significant amount of their mortgage.

also Jim  just for grins not sure you want PDX but go on Bulldogs website they are wholesalers also there is veristone and east side funding in your neck of the woods that has foreclosure bidding services were they also provide you the HML when you win at auction pretty slick how they have it set up.. although be cautious I see people they rep buy deals that I know will not make any money the only one is the bidding service and the lender..

(At least that's would happen in my neck of the woods.) 

I know Charleston is getting pricey and I would imagine numbers work better in your neck of the woods.Live where you want to be and where you can grow your career.

Until you get rid of that albatross around your neck you should not be considering further investing.

BTW...the rental market in my neck of the woods is red-hot! 

Will keep you posted on that, as we aren't neck deep into it yet.
