I also plan to do this in the outer boroughs of NYC or NJ (although I have also been researching long distance investing and though it seems a bit scarier NYC just doesn't seem like the best market for this) I am fascinated by the idea of buying multiple homes with the same dollar.I have always been into home improvement and am also very excited about the rehab process.

This is not an exact science but has worked for me to determine if the estate might have property.If you get really lucky, the county will have all of this information online so that you can do the research without having to go down to the county office.Hope that helps!

I also find the Airbnb model fascinating, though very high touch and hope to find a good market to experiment with that in - currently Cape Coral, Daytona Beach, Orlando or Miami seem like good options but that's down the line.

I wanted to revive this since it’s fascinating and I wanted to some clarifications.From what I understand, the core of the principle is the savings in interest payments on the original mortgage, by titling the allocation of interest vs principal.
