As we grew, we transitioned to larger class B apartments with better quality tenants, but the competition in the value-add game became intense, and it made finding good deals more challenging.The market for multifamily syndication is crowded, with many people attending weekend boot camps and diving into the game.

Many have overlays because it's more labor intensive to originate a 30K loan than 300K loan and the lender makes considerably less money.Those low loan amounts give lenders problems because they become high cost loans.

You're an active trader, so you know how intense the business can be.

The property management would be intense.

And I understand as a PM you would find it more labor intensive to show an occupied unit, but that is what the lease up and turn fees are for, I thought.  

It seems that many have replied with erroneous and misleading information most likely obtained from the intense mass media coverage Puerto Rico has received after the two hurricanes.
