Value to a motivated seller is: "please do not scam me". 

I worry about Craigslist as I've read a lot of stories about scams. 

these scam artists make my blood boil, they rampant in Detroit.There was a sizable write up about this last week in the local paper.

Here's what you need to realize.....When they see you are calling from out of the country they may think you are either a scam or not serious....and they may not feel like making a long distance phone call to verify your legitimacy. 

I have a lady friend that was scammed out of $4 grand with a roofer who wanted $$ upfront.

It's a scam.

With all the people moving in and out, I have a suspicion they are trying to scam the system.  

This is what robo-callers use to leave you pre-recorded scam messages about back taxes owed or unclaimed money left by an unknown relative.

I'm planning to visit before I purchase anything, I didn't realize how many people didn't make site visits until I read the horror stories posted from some of the Turnkey scams. 

To avoid problems and scams, use a reputable business broker particularly if you never done it.
