If you can't afford to live in a particular city anymore, you complain, you get more jobs - or you move somewhere you can afford.And if you have to spend half of your income on housing - and/or choose to do so in an expensive area, you just cut back on other things.It's not the end of the world to "have to" watch movies on Amazon Prime or Netflix instead of going out, or cooking your own meals at home.I live on practically nothing and I do just fine.

Also their choice method of cooking is rather oily so be stay on top of it with regular pest control and add in some extra bucks for cleanup when they leave.

The tenant insists that her mom is not staying with her and just comes over a lot to help her with cooking and cleaning.I believe the reason she doesn't want to add her mom is parking.

Out west, it's usually natural gas.A lot of tenants prefer to cook with gas over electric, so that could be a bonus, if you install gas.Gas dryers and hot water heaters are also often more efficient.

When tenants stop paying for utilities other problems arise, such as burning candles for light, using propane devices for heating, and BBQs for cooking, running extension cords from other residences and overloading them, and in the winter, freezing pipes.... to name a few.
