Personally, I'd sit on the sidelines and watch him from far off.Unfortunately, I've met many individuals from my various workplaces who made inappropriate comments like that - usually in passing so  I brushed it off.

Use your PM as a supervisor.

My favorite strategy is the live in rehab where you buy a too-big fixer upper near your workplace and rent out spare bedrooms to working professionals so you get paid to live in your own house.

If you do have concerns based in performance - for example, it is taking a long time to get calls returned or emails responded to, or you are not informed timely of major changes, like a tenant moving out, or it takes a long time to receive a rent-ready estimate - ask to speak with the portfolio manager's supervisor.

I have these potential applicants who are very old, and managed by some assisted living program. 4 old ladies, cognitively impaired, disabled, from what I can infer.The assisted living supervisor came to see my rental, and told me that rent would be paid directly from their social security, from the gov't straight to me. 4 individual payments from each of the 4 ladies' accounts.Normally, I don't like to mess with anything involving the government.

In fact, we are still very close to some of the supervisors and case workers and still go spend time in their office with them.
