Lastly, I wanted to ask if there are any Real Estate agents in Rhode Island that could offer an internship with them or their brokerage.

I have had some paid internships, which means that I can come out of school without any student loans hanging over me, but it will take all my money to do this. 

I spent my summers in college working for a general contractor doing construction/remodeling rather than an engineering internship, so I do have some skills in that area but I’m not licensed in any of those trades.

I am currently majoring in civil engineering and although my internship has been amazing, I cannot see myself working an office job for the rest of my life.

Regardless if you go to college or not, since you know RE is your passion, you have a few options to get your foot wet in the RE world to lay a good foundation: look for a job or internship within the industry!

I've had a few part time jobs and paid internships over the past few years, but nothing consistent or substantial.Also debt to asset ratio (20k in student loans).

Through multiple internships/jobs/RA/etc, I have been able to pay off all my student loans as of last week!

I will add that I have W-2 income from internships and other college jobs, but nothing that has been consistent.

Im wanting to get a job or internship in the real estate industry.

I am hoping to find an internship with a real estate related business so I can get some hands on experience.
