Hi everyone, I have some rental properties that I own in Texas and was looking to place them in an LLC for protection, however I was informed that you would need to pay a franchise fee that would take a large portion of the current earnings. 

It is, perhaps, best thought of as a sort of "franchise" arrangement where you pay a "franchise fee" to the tune of circa. $40K to gain access to their "franchisee" training, materials and limited rights to use their name and trademarks in promotional items and such in your investing business.

I always thought it would be a good idea to buy a commercial warehouse and use one of the spaces for your business/franchise.

You can offer mail and packing services (like a UPS Store or other franchise) and Uhaul rental.

It's a franchise, they are selling training, and you get what you pay for.

The start up will be weighed on if you are doing a franchised concept or your own creation and also how much liquidity and net worth you have to get started. 

Was great for franchise businesses like pizza, retail, etc.
