If they do not respond yet, then you'll need to proceed with eviction.Once you are able to lawfully get into the unit, a locksmith can get you in.

The property wasn't broken into, it was under a lock when the locksmith showed up, which makes me think that she had to do with all the appliances being stolen too.

You should have charged for the lock change when she lost the keys, have her pay the locksmith then.When you change at the end of the lease that is normally on you and you should always do it.

Be fully prepared to be the best help possible to a potential client.Build a list of contacts with every possible person you might need help from including locksmiths,plumbers,electricians,general contractors,junk hauling and clean out crews,landscaping crews,handymen,moving companies,furniture staging and rental companies, foreign language interpreters,hard money lenders,and of course....investors who can pay cash fast!!!!

It serves two purposes; first, contractors can let themselves in and second, if the tenants lock themselves out, someone on his team can let them in, charge a lockout fee, and not have to find/bring keys or call a locksmith.

(In short, don't make your own keys or have a locksmith change the locks or you will pay for changing all the locks back to my standard, plus basic fees for new / lost keys.)I also get a check-in condition sheet.
