Perhaps they want long term income for their retirement and ultimately their heirs.

If you have some capital, income, and decent credit, buy a 4-5 bedroom house and rent bedrooms. 

You can purchase a primary home with seller financing, then rent out the spare rooms to generate income.

So I do currently have income from my rental properties, however it isnt enough to cover our current costs over here for the next 6 months.

I knew there were some HML lenders that did OO, but OP credit score “isn’t great” (which likely means it’s poor) and “technically don’t make much money” (which likely means he has little income).i think it is long shot any HML that does OO will take on this risk for what they can legally charge for OO loan.  

The US taxes global income which dramatically increases the reporting requirements.

I used my tenant income and w2 income to put towards the next phase of rehab.

The guy is meeting the rental criteria income wise.

If I commit to this path, my goal is to generate a net income of $300,000 per year by December 2030.
