Another way to get leads is to place "We Buy Houses" Flyers, I started out putting them in Grocery stores, taping them on Bus stops etc. and gave me a few calls

Tell them you have a pizza coupon you received in the mail that you want them to open a case on.ROFL, good one Bill.This reminds me of the 911 McDonalds chicken mcnugget tapes...

I mark the edge of base on the shims, tape them down, and put pieces of tape at numerous spots around perimeter to mark position.

Those programs are not for me and the path I have chosen is to study mostly free resources (I've bought a few books and audio tapes spending under $200) and networking with investors online and in person (I have spent around $200 on this).

I determine when and if the tape breaks.

Hi Dave,The other thing that I don't think anybody mentioned yet is the ridiculous amounts of red taped involved in the approval process for the bank to take the short offer.

Do they handle all of your sheetrock work, tape,bed,texture work and interior/exterior paint as well and if so what do you pay on an average house that needs some TBT and minor sheetrock repair?

The effort and money to get through the red tape/execution of the transformation most likely would not be worthwhile.    

My full time job is in real estate so I do have that experience as well but your best experience for note investing is when you research and buy a note.My recommendation is to start making contacts to get a few tapes sent to you so you can understand what it is when you get them and what info is sent.Please note I have not bought any training from the above so I cannot comment on the paid training nor I am endorsing it but the stuff online is extremely valuable.
